Doon Social Farm is a 33-acre organic farm that offers wellness programmes in a rural setting. It is tailored for individuals facing social isolation, particularly young people. The farm draws inspiration from the success of social farms overseas, which have proven effective in tackling the causes of isolation and exclusion. The farm offers wellness services to community groups in Limerick and Tipperary, with particular focus on disadvantaged groups. We rely on grant funding for 100% of our services and apply for grants annually to support our programs.
BRS Social Farm offers its services through the Community Services Programme (CSP) and the Local Training Initiative, funded by the Limerick and Clare Educational Training Board (LCETB). We also partner with the LCETB to provide free classes to the local community whenever possible.
Services Offered at the Farm
Café and Farm Shop
Our café is open every Friday from 10 AM to 4 PM and Saturday 10AM to 2PM. The café serves as a gathering space for the local community, utilising our organic produce whenever possible, with all items being homemade. Proceeds from the café and shop helps support the farm.

Sensory Room and Garden
Our latest project aims to create a sensory space for the residents of Doon and nearby areas. This project will rely on fundraising efforts, and we hope to collaborate with the local community to establish this vital resource.
Camps for Children and Young People
We offer farm and biodiversity camps for children and young people, ensuring inclusivity for all abilities.
